Just a small update. Nothing much to report. Things are going well with the weight loss and this makes me happy. Although I will not weight myself this week because of stoopit bloating. I actualyl have a new work-out partner, for now at least: Draxenn. Yes, you all see it correctly. I say "for now" because the morning routine may keep him from sleeping. So we'll see. It was definately fun to see him try ballroom dance! Not that I'm any better.

D.J has been coming home every weekend...yay! Things are definately getting easier as they go.

Well, this is it for now I guess. Remember, October 11th is my measuring day!

Oh ya...and I posted a pic of myself.

Sep. 25th, 2006 10:22 pm Just an update

Well, another weekend has come and gone with a wonderful visit from D.J. I'm telling you, there is no better way to better appreciate the time spent with ones you love than when you are apart for awhile. Not that we didn't have a great relationship before he left, but now it's actually that much better.

We got a chance to all go to Amtgard this weekend too. It felt good to be out there again. It had been quite awhile since I had gone for various reasons. It also gave me a break from the kids. As much as I love them, being a single parent for a few days it taxing on many levels. It's nice when D.J comes home and takes them off my hands a bit because I get to recharge myself and be ready for the week ahead.

This time, before he left, he bought D. and I some roses. She immediately put them in water and put them on her dresser in her room. She missed D.J tonight, so I told her to just smell the roses he gave her. It seemed to help.

I'll find out Thursday night if he'll be visiting. YAY!

Apart from that, school is going well. I'm extremely busy with it that I had to take a break from my job as an assistant until at least December. With D.J gone, I just can't allocate the time to go to work and I also have a course overload to bring up my average to give me a better chance to get accepted into teacher's college. So far, so good.

So all in all things are going very well. I'm quite happy with the way my life is turning out, even though I get a tad lonely at times.

Sep. 14th, 2006 08:09 pm I blame daytime T.V.

In between housework and homework I channel surf. And for some reason I always end up on TLC. They have all these baby programs that play, but one that catches me and makes me cry every time is called "Adoption Stories". Basically it's about parents adopting and meeting their child for the first time.

I've always wanted more kids, but financially we couldn't. But adoption, once we both have our careers, was always something that was up in the air. Maybe someday huh.

Sep. 11th, 2006 11:15 am And so it begins anew....

Since D.j will be actually working out while he's gone, I feel I should do the same. Not only for myself but for the simple fact of keeping up appearances. I mean, he's a cop now, he can't very well have a fat wife. I'd be embarrasses for him to be honest. So, I am going to attempt to lose between 0.5 and 1 pound a week while he is gone. So far I have stuck to the workouts I have set.

Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday I hop the 8:20 bus to the university, providing the kids school bus isn't late. I meet one of my friends at the gym and we do 30 minutes of cardio. I did my second one today. Legs are sore. But I managed to jog 25 minutes of the 30 as opposed to 15 of the 30.

So, I am at *gasp* 140 pounds right now. This is my heaviest I have ever been without being pregnant. My goal is to be between 124 and 134 pounds. According to my doctor, that is the healthy weight for my age, height, build etc. So if I do lose 1 pound a week for 12 weeks, I will be at 128. My goal is to lose AT LEAST 6 pounds.

So, I will weight myself every 2 weeks to see my progress and post here.

Toodles!

Sep. 10th, 2006 06:33 pm Wow....what a great weekend!

Well, a week (technically 4 days) went by without D.J. They went better than I had imagined. It's made easier by the fact that at least once a day D.J and I are in some kind of contact: either MSN or phone. Since he can't always call at a time to talk to the kids, he'll try to email them instead. Another factor that made things easier was that I knew he was visiting on the weekend....and boy, what a weekend it was!

It was fantastic! I was so happy to see him. D. actually ran right into the computer room on Saturday morning because she knew her dad was home. She was SO glad to see him. She clung to him all weekend. I always knew she was a daddy's girl, but this past weekend just soldified how much of one she was. A. was equally as happy to see his dad. He impressed D.J by helping him with an online LEGO puzzle game thing. D.J just couldn't solve it. A. just walked into the room and said "Do this and this and this...I think." And well, it worked! HAHA. It was great.

Saturday started out great with me telling D.J the amount of his first paycheck. You should have all seen his expression! It was awesome. So, to celebrate, we all went out for lunch to Pat and Mario's. Then we went to do some shopping. Admitedly, D.J splurged alot on us this weekend. I expect him to splurge his first couple of checks since it's been awhile since he's seen that kind of money. I also don't mind him spending on me since I won't be able to really splurge for the next 2 years because of school.

Today, Sunday, we just spent relaxing. D.J did a bit of groceries for himself to bring back to school and he left again around 3pm. It's about a 6 hour drive.

We also spent alot of time talking about our future. When he gets back in 3 months, we're looking into moving into a better area. We'll look into renting vs buying at this point since we know we're staying in Sudbury. We know we want a good area and we're willing to pay the price for it too, within reason of course. If we decide to buy, we definately want something big! We also want to have an RP room...lol. So chances are, we'll look at a newer house. Expensive, yes. Worth it, I think so. I'm also shopping around for insurance companies too.

Chances are, he'll be coming down next weekend too. It's not 100% sure, about 95% sure though. It was a little easier to see him go this time. Even the kids didn't make a big thing of it. I think as long as there are phone calls and periodical visits, we'll be just fine.

Well, the time has come and gone. D.J has been gone about an hour now and I have yet to stop crying. I just slowed it down so I could type.

We've been apart before, but only for family visits or graveyard shift work. But this just seems so permanent, even though it isn't. 3 months. 12 weeks. 90 days. That's a long time to be alone. Sure, I have the kids, but it's not the same.

*sigh* I miss him so much already.

Too many waterworks. Bye.

So I haven't been sleeping well this past week I would say. Tossing and turning all night, every night. Tonight is the worst. I am exhausted, really, I am. Yet, here I am, 99 minutes AFTER I went to bed. I can't seem to get comfortable at all. Ugh. We even have no kids all weekend, you'd think I would get good sleep. But no.

*sigh* Off to play poker I guess. Or maybe neopets.

Yes, but I'm not allowed to right now."

The time is now.

For the past few months, my husband, Wyld D.J, has been going through several interviews with the Sudbury Regional Police Department.

Well, I am happy to announce that as of 5pm Friday August 4th, my husband is now a constable at the Police Department!!!!!

The sad part is that on September 5th, he is leaving for a 12 week training program in Aylmer. That's far. I'm not sure when/if we will be able to see each other during that time. But it will be well worth it.

So, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Jun. 13th, 2006 10:54 am Curtain rods....

She spent the first day packing her belongings into boxes, crates and

suitcases. On the second day, she had the movers come and collect her

things. On the third day, she sat down for the last time at their

beautiful dining room table by candlelight, put on some soft background

music, and feasted on a pound of shrimp, a jar of caviar, and a bottle

of Chardonnay. When she had finished, she went into each and every room

and deposited a few half-eaten shrimp shells dipped in caviar into the

hollow of the curtain rods. She then cleaned up the kitchen and left.

When the husband returned with his new girlfriend, all was bliss for

the first few days. Then slowly, the house began to smell. They tried

everything, cleaning, mopping and airing the place out. Vents were

checked for dead rodents and carpets were steam cleaned. Air fresheners

were hung everywhere. Exterminators were brought in to set off gas

canisters, during which they had to move out for a few days and in the

end they even paid to replace the expensive wool carpeting. Nothing

worked. People stopped coming over to visit. Repairmen refused to

work

in the house. The maid quit. Finally, they could not take the stench

any longer and decided to move.

A month later, even though they had cut their price in half, they could

not find a buyer for their stinky house. Word got out and eventually

even the local realtors refused to return their calls.

Finally, they had to borrow a huge sum of money from the bank to

purchase a new place. The ex-wife called the man and casually asked how

things were going. He told her the saga of the rotting house. She

listened

politely and said that she missed her old home terribly and would be

willing to

reduce her divorce settlement in exchange for getting the house back.

Knowing his ex-wife had no idea how bad the smell was, he agreed on a

price that was about 1/10th of what the house had been worth, but only

if she were to sign the papers that very day. She agreed and within

the hour

his lawyers delivered the paperwork.

A week later the man and his girlfriend stood smiling as they watched

the moving company pack everything to take to their new home . . .

including the curtain rods.

I LOVE A HAPPY ENDING, DON'T YOU?
